Intro Hello!

My name is Dishant and I am a computer engineering student at L.D. College of Engineering, India.
Skills: Basic knowledge of Java, Unity 3D, C#, 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, animation with blender.

I have been developing simple games with Unity 3D for about 6 months now and would like to contribute to this project.

I have worked with particle systems in Blender and Unity and would like to contribute to this project with some particle systems and also some code after I get a grasp of the code base.

I have uploaded some of my blender renders on Instagram if you would like to see them: https://www.instagram.com/dishantm70/

In the meantime, I can help out with 3D modelling stuff using blender if the project requires it.

Also, can someone point me to some resources that I can refer to for understanding the source code?

Thank you!:geek:

Hi @Dishant and welcome! Nice models on your Instagram, want to make some low-poly creatures like animals, monsters, etc? We need a lot of those :)

To get started on source code check out https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/wiki/Dev-Setup - there are also some wiki pages on related concepts as well as how to make block shapes (slightly different than full models) in Blender.

If you're curious about particle systems then check out https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/pull/2632 by @Instant who just salvaged and improved some old work we had on particles, and pushed it along further. That might be a good way to also understand some more code, as well as asking questions / doing code review to help Max (Instant). There's plenty to do in particle land and an open todo list in that PR!
