Figured we really should have one of these as a sticky - primarily meant for links to other things.

Making a few of our artists moderators in this forum so they can edit this post and add more (let me know if you think you should have moderator rights so you can edit)

@Kazimir3701 - Bulk .block creation tool from block tiles

A'nW Blender tutorial part 1 - set up for Blender and the Terasology block shape exporter
A'nW Blender tutorial part 2 - the basics of Terasology block shapes

glasz Blender tutorial part 1 -Making of the black pawn model
glasz Blender tutorial part 2 - UV mapping of the black pawn
glasz Blender tutorial part 3 - Rigging! (animating)
glasz MD5 exporting from Blender tutorial

synopia - Blender the format + how to export it in various ways

Mike Kienenberger Wiki tutorial on using Collada models (for instance exported from VoxelShop by flux )

Skaldarnar pixel-art icons from images

Halamix2 Banner art (for instance for use in your signature in other forums/sites)

We keep some art-related files on GitHub's TeraMisc repo - although some we just cram into the game in a module, and others are attached to threads in this forum.

And then there's @Gooey on Google Drive for good measure.

Somebody please add more, and keep those tutorials coming! :)

Most are still applicable, the Blender stuff has probably changed around in minor ways (on the exporting and such). Block tiles are pretty much unchanged, everything is just more durable :)

Another tool suggestion by @Calinou - copy pasted from IRC :)

I found a very useful tool

this is a GIMP plug-in
that makes normal maps, specular maps, ambient occlusion maps, parallax maps, and much more
it also makes your textures seamless
save it as insaneBump.py, put it in GIMP plug-ins folder, then go to Filters ⇒ Map ⇒ Insane…
