Skills/tools: I'm a second year student at Chapman University. I'm a pretty Linux heavy person with a fairly good background in terms of Git, C++, java, and C. My Github is pretty crowded if that is any indication. I have a couple projects related to web, a basic framework for a game engine, some mods for Parkitect, and Minecraft.

Interest: I have an interest in AI systems and modding. I have a couple of small projects that i'm working on at the moment such as the track editing mod for Parkitect, and a Linux build of the client for the same game. I'm also working on a Cubesat database with a professor. In terms of contributing I would be interested in the Behavior tree renovation, Customizable characters, or possibly help develop more automation similar to something like Buildcraft. I haven't quite decided, but i'll probably get something together by the end of this week.

Hi, welcome in the terasology community. That rails editor screenshots reminds me of this (now abandoned) terasology mod:

Please be aware that there is a lot of competition in this project, as we probably will get just about 2 slots and have a lot of students that want to apply. So if you are mainly interested in a gsoc project, you may also want to apply at another project. If you don't mind a bit of competition and are up to a challange I suggest you check out the quick start page in our wiki: https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/wiki/Dev-Setup

Hi @Michael good to see you in the forum :)

Cool side projects and interests. Have you gotten up to run from source yet? Helps to get a few small PRs in to show you're getting into the code, especially this relatively late in the process. Although you're welcome to take your time if you have an interest in helping with any of the items beyond GSOC - we could definitely use it!

@SkySom has been tweaking at the Rails mod so it almost works again. If that's something small you could try out to get set up he'd probably be happy to help out and get an extra pair of eyes/hands :)

Oh nice more Buildcraft stuff in Terasology, I'm down. I've sorta been working Rails to be Railcraft-ish. Sooo maybe we can bring the big 3 of the oldies from minecraft into Terasology :D

yep, I've managed to get the game to run and I've looked a bit through the code. Looks really clean and solid.

Hey your GSOC proposals went straight into the final PDF section we can't actually read until after the deadline :)

If you'd like some early review can you put a copy into the draft section?
