Hey! I am current grad student at parsons in Design and technology applying for the GSOC. I am really interested in the procedural generation and noise aspect of the project. I have taken a few semesters of java coding (mainly in processing) but also know openFrameworks and some raw c++. I have dabbled in game development, but rarely use any sort of engine. This seems like a really awesome project and I am super excited about the procedural generation aspect. Yay!

Hey @csnav and welcome.

The competition for getting into GSoC at Terasology is quite hard (lots of students showed interest), so you better get a rocket start going and get your hands on the code. There is a Dev-Setup guide in our GitHub wiki to get you started running the game from source. Familiarize yourself with the code base by having a look at the contributor-friendly issues and attempt some bugfixes. If you have questions, you might ask them here or just hop on our IRC channel (#terasology @ freenode).
