Nifty sci-fi voxelworld game

I saw this one months ago (link in the article to an older one) and thought it might be need if it kept going to completion - and it looks like it did

Feels a little bit like scifi-diablo meets Terraria/Minecraft. Or Fallout like the author suggests. Or Borderlands. It is neat to see the Scifi take on things, even if we're going to keep mostly away from anything high-tech. There are some background details in the older details too, on the use of jMonkeyEngine, lighting tricks, etc.

Not open source nor free tho

(Has a demo, however)

you should check out Mythruna too a minecraft kind of role crafting game. Its still pre-alpha and free. The developer is one of the core developers of jmonkeyengine and has done an amazing job on this game

Yep, been aware of that one since it started. Another great example, but also closed source
