Here is what I have found on my computer running this update ...
1) I now have sound
although it is choppy now it is an improvement over what I had before Well, I had sound the 2nd time I ran the game I lost it and was back to the echo chamber.
Question ...
a) is there a difference in sound when you walk on snow, dirt, stone, sand etc etc ? I did not notice any and thought there might be but maybe not at this point yet
2) Loading of game at start up screen seems to be very very slow compared to other updates
3) Love the ability to be able to set up different settings even though I have to run on lowest settings it is nice to know I could change this or that if I cared to do so.
4) the big boom sounded nice when I used the "lighter" tool
5) When I had sound my FPS dropped and keep this up till I was at 2.?? and then the game just locked up now that the sound is gone it seems that I have a better FPS rate (12 to 18) but I have never been able to get the 29.?? that I had a updated or so back.
6) I did notice the shadows as I was flying along a path that a river had taken and they were very well done.
