    Archived Running on Ubuntu 11.10

    Minecraft, Sauerbraten, Starcraft II, Half-Life 2, Portal 2 (laggy), Portal.... ^All work fine, Even under wine. Erm, odd, I've only gotten that error once before, from minecraft RedPower2, placing any cover item often crashed it. Oh, and my drivers are up-to-date.

    This might be a long shot, but I'm going to try this under WINE, and see what errors I get then, to see if its a system problem or a Java problem or something else. EDIT: Very odd, Same thing happened in WINE, the game loaded, although the menu graphics didn't, I could still click the buttons...

    Odd, this time the exact same thing happened, the game crashed as soon as the world loaded, with no indication in the game logfiles, but no Java Error File was created either. O_o

    Erm.... That was the first error. I found the reason for it was that Ubuntu has libopenal.so named libopenal.so.1, so the game didnt know where to look. All I had to do was make a symlink named libopenal.so, then those errors were gone. Or are you talking about something else? The first OpenAL...
