If You liked the tare pit ... let's go another step and put in some quicksand in :)

Sense we already have lava/water would it maybe be a step forward to introduce a tare pit? A pit of black thick water; that once you step one or two steps into you were sucked in so your only escape would be death And also, an underground oil reserve maybe not much but enough that if found you...
