It must be some sort of in-game processing, because the icons in inventory look right, and the dandelion being held looks much more normal. Was that shot under evening light? It seems that only certain color ranges are effected-- notice how the darkest, greens on the iris escape the yellowing...

An image seems more practical than CD or DVD, unless your friends all share the same music library. Though i realize practicality isn't the main goal.

My critters are just drawings, i don't do 3D modeling. Of course anyone is welcome to turn them into models. I agree, at this stage, if you have working 3D models-- throw them in. Just so artists understand that inclusion isn't necessarily permanent.
