    Torch in hand, gradle

Hehe, well I'm not sure what caused not one but two HD failures but I like to imagine there was at least melting involved.

Ideology: should modules be more unified or fragmented.

Hi @Nym Traveel ! Nice to see you around, how have you been? Check out the fancy new world gen stuff, if you haven't already :D Yup, would like to do something like a registry like that, probably in a base module provider you can easy consult somehow. Not to mention just providing every...

Some of the older builds died in a fire when our server exploded :-( I've got some even older ones in a local backup, from way long ago. Hanging on to them for nostalgia and maybe for when we have a plain web server way of serving old builds for the fun of it. On Gradle - I think we may be...

Upcoming dev meeting - Alpha & more

@chessandgo - you're still totally free to comment, stop with the not your place bit :D Although this probably isn't quite the right thread as those topics do not really relate. There are other threads that likely relate, if not then put a new thread into Suggestions :) Real quick: Textures...

Upcoming dev meeting - Alpha & more

Summary from early session today: Main speakers: @Florian, @Mike Kienenberger, @Josharias, @glasz, @synopia, @SuperSnark, @Calinou, @Halamix2 @Florian highlighted a desire for better free-form building and general playability improvements, even ahead of L&S which may still have complex...

Mr. Jenkins hangs out at: http://jenkins.terasology.org/job/Terasology - then you can pick a specific build number, then go to Build Artifacts, then "build" then "distributions" and there's the zip http://jenkins.terasology.org/job/TerasologyStable holds the stable builds in the same fashion...

Upcoming dev meeting - Alpha & more

Hey @qreeves - contributor badge for you now that I spot you in the forum :-) I think there will be a lot of straight forward tasks with L&S that we can sort out tomorrow (and if you don't make it then we'll have the tasks in a better format at least). Should have a few volunteers able to start...

:( Was worth a try @Adeon any other ideas?

Artifactory fixed - out of space

I'd like to find a way to off-load older builds in Jenkins to a plain webserver just serving static files. Probably onto some cheap hosting separate from DigitalOcean. I don't want to just outright delete them in case of wanting to grab older builds. Might get more important in the future than...

Upcoming dev meeting - Alpha & more

Update! Tomorrow looks solid, with two weeks from now also decent with a couple different people available. Since we have quite a few topics and it has been a while since last I'm going to try preparing for both, with different topics. I'll aim to make both sessions on both days - the early one...

You might actually need to use less memory. One theory is that 32-bit causes problems with integrated video receiving too much system memory. Maybe try: path_to_the_user_folder>java -jar path_to_the_terasology.jar -Xmx256m -Xms512m Or even: path_to_the_user_folder>java -jar...

Intro Boas a todos! (Hello everybody!)

Already said welcome in the other thread, but welcome again! Your efforts will be very much appreciated, whether for straight code, social design ideas, or translation :-) I'm personally very interested in larger world simulations myself, and sensible realm-scale PvP. Such a tasty topic. Neat...

Yeah this is definitely something that changed in the relative past, appearing differently in some contexts like noted on https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/issues/1486 - if the effect I see is related maybe the light isn't correctly dispersing, just showing as a very bright but limited...

[WaS] Tech Tree and Crafting Concepts

Hi @coegho and welcome! That is totally doable and sounds like a good idea :-) Making a new shellfish item/icon should be pretty easy, making it drop from sand block likewise. Adding in a check for nearby water is doable, but not sure we have any good examples to go on. Making actual farming by...

https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/issues/1354 (even links to this thread, hehe) https://github.com/MovingBlocks/Terasology/issues/1418 Probably would work with 64-bit Java, or maybe some extra memory config (if not 64-bit OS).

Artifactory fixed - out of space

The droplet servers we have run with fast SSD storage - but unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of it and no easy option to add in old school spinning drive for archival storage :-) Long term we probably need some old school storage to fit in somewhere, Jenkins is slowly filling up its drive...

No worries! Glad you were able to get it to work! :-) Do send any more questions our way and come help write some code! :D

Resolved Terasology doesn't start in linux.

Hi @capote ! Just to confirm, you are using a recent copy of the game from our Jenkins, GitHub, or the launcher? Occasionally somebody has shown up after finding a way outdated version of the game on a third party site. I doubt that's it, but checking just in case :-) Next up it is usually...

Question Terasology will not start up from run_macosx.command

There is some good news on the horizon in either case - we have some ongoing work to actually bundle the needed Java with the game itself, which should remove this problem :-) @shartte is working on it on and off, so we could probably handle it that way rather than worry too much about the...

    Project Logistics Arc

(I think we sorted out the above on IRC, been a while) whoops page 2 The quest for dynamic build agent droplets for Jenkins continues! I've been working on that on and off for, well, pretty much two months I guess! Got some extra time in while in NYC and then some more over the last few days...
