    Project Update! Seeking public input

Probably one of those things we both need to tweak more (yep, should be limited to only some blocks) and offer a toggle for under graphic settings :-) Roger - thanks! Will add that to my short-list to look at some more

    Project Update! Seeking public input

Big update time! Everybody loves bulleted lists, right? Project Topics (important!) These are big walls of text as each makes up a cornerstone of the project and we're wanting to get these right the first time - as we're likely not changing any of these in a major fashion ever again. They'll...

Games in our "sphere of interest"

Rather than make individual discussion threads for all these right away I figured a central thread makes more sense until we have enough purpose for a dedicated thread for something. Minecraft naturally can get a thread but somebody else can start that sometime :-) There's an excellent list of...

    Kingdom Conquest 2

Link: http://kingdom-conquest2.com Genre: Strategy, virtual collectible card game (CCG), city building, limited dungeon crawling Platform: Android, iOS Pricing model: Freemium, in-game currency, somewhat restricted pay-to-win elements Summary: A bit buggy and laggy, yet surprisingly deep for a...

Forum purpose - please read first!

This is a community forum meant to be about interesting games you've played or books you've read that you think might hold lessons or inspiration for Terasology. Main point is to get ideas for how to improve Terasology, although organizing gaming with others in the community certainly is fine...

Done :) Edit: Oh, small discovery - Artifactory usernames appear to be capital sensitive

    The Great Convergence

Stable build done last night - might be a good checkpoint for this work? Not sure how you're tracking stuff :-)

    Hello everyone.

Belated welcome! We've already talked a bunch on IRC but I didn't get a chance to catch up here for a bit :D

    Release Management & Feature Analysis

Artifactory instance is up: http://artifactory.movingblocks.net Bottom two links above are likely handy to look into how it could be put to use. We can put the proper Slick dependency in there, TeraBullet, Jitter, etc, as well as even the individually compiled Terasology modules Let me know...

WIP [LaS] Light and Shadow - Art Discussion

Badger would-be developers on IRC :D Like Eliwood :p Let me know somebody if you can arrange issues on GitHub into L&S milestones, you might be in a better position to do that than me. So we can have the first testable, first playable (pawn storm), maybe another one or two (kill the king...

    Project licensing and contributor options

Yeah just saw that GitHub license thing. Good timing :) Wish you could add your own organization-wide license templates, but then I figure we can do that with scripting. "Private" I couldn't think of a good name for at the time. Maybe "Personal" ? Or "Default". Either way yes it isn't so...

    Project licensing and contributor options

Immortius - thanks :) Added an "Engine" section and some minor tweaks here and there. I know there'll be space for more tweaking. Particularly I'm curious how the three different "content" tiers sound and if that's a valid way of dealing with different setups. As I envision it there'll...

Looking for beta testers for the 'Terasology Launcher'

I don't know, just using various branches / builds / etc and cramming it all into the same data dir :-) Being that I test a lot of early integration builds I run into that on a regular basis, unrelated to the launcher.

Looking for beta testers for the 'Terasology Launcher'

On multiplayer - we could do without it since we'll converge again, but we might also split out other branches later. It could be a nice way to offer "preview" builds via launcher :-) Multiplayer won't change the data dir usage/sensitivity but in theory normal users shouldn't ever need to mess...

    Greetings

XanHou - curiously, could you expand on your experiences with Ace of Spades? It is near the top of my list of interesting voxel games to check out, especially as that sort of "seek and destroy" plus base building seems high potential, with us somehow involving NPCs more :-) I haven't tried it...

    Implementation Tasks

nh_99 - thanks, merged! :) Item to add to the MoSCoW somewhere (first playable, should?): Be within x range of entity matching y conditions (so you can trigger quests based on being near a specific NPC) - edit: this might actually be the same as location since you'd probably indicate that...

WIP [LaS] Light and Shadow - Art Discussion

The concepts all sound great, although I'm not sure on the implementation timeline, might be a bit more basic for a bit :) Yeah currently the player can jump two-block tall walls. I think the pathfinding from synopia limits the pathfinding (rather than the creature's jump ability) to 2 blocks...

Looking for beta testers for the 'Terasology Launcher'

Tested! Fairly thoroughly too and I gotta say I'm impressed. Solid work! Seems pretty much ready to go live now. Feedback: Maybe a progress bar for launcher update? Took a few seconds, was unsure if it was doing something or frozen. Alternative: Non-progress animation to leave the user at ease...
