    Tweaking Physics

Woot! Physics wizardry :-) Any clue how much of a performance boost it yields?

    Moutains Patch

Whoosh! Thread is now in the Dev Portal :D Thanks for the patch - going to have to check that out when I get a chance. I do agree that the mountains can be a bit pointy, and I'd like to see alternatives. Maybe differently flavored mountain biomes? "Mesa" would be a nifty biome too Crafting...

    Hello everyone

Correct! :D Coding is great. Make it through the DevSetup, commit a typo fix or something, and let us know when you're ready for something bigger! :geek:

Resolved Terasology wont launch: windows version

Definitely wouldn't hurt to try :-) And it isn't particularly likely to help, IMHO, but - try updating to the latest audio drivers if not current?

    Ape

Nice to be able to welcome you officially - and total agreement on the behavior over definition bit, that's exactly how I'd like to think of the world too :-) Maybe after you try a few small commits you might be up for looking at the Block Dynamics concept that I keep pushing, lots of...

    Mesh simplification for voxellike worlds

That sounds great - we don't all need to be 3d wizards, that's what specialization is for. We need a combat specialist, among other things, so I'm thrilled to hear you've already tinkered! Toss a post in the Contrib Intro forum and push some code! :D

    Mesh simplification for voxellike worlds

Welcome aherber and thanks for the notes and links - any interest in helping implement some of those techniques or what Immortius mentions? :D

Resolved Terasology wont launch: windows version

I just downloaded the last artifact in some 10 seconds no problem. But I did see a weird slow period just recently where it would take multiple minutes, maybe there's something quirky going on again. We should probably set the build to also separately upload to GitHub as a fallback download...

    Sub-block billboard plants

They look pretty good if you open them directly in the forum's image gallery thingie, then they get a black background - nicely done :-)

    New York New York

Home at last! Caught up somewhat with a few things I missed, tho that still leaves me with dozens of tabs open in my Firefox to look at more deeply, wee :-) Will have to kick it up a notch to make forum and IRC less quiet over the coming week :D

    Archived Option to Change Controls

overdhose might finally have gone on a bit of a hiatus in RL due to assorted stuff. He's got several commits sitting in his branch waiting for review and integration. We're pretty close on this :-)

    Inactive Facially Expressive Models

Cool. I think depending on how well it works it might be part of the core content :-)

    New York New York

Hehe, yeah, I sure didn't expect to spend quite as much time as we have on Manhattan trips. One day we got up at 8 am and didn't make it back to the house till past 1 am. Just doing touristy stuff and walking, walking, walking. So not a lot of keeping up with forum stuff or anything else for me...

    Reflective and refractive water

Hehe, if by "requested" you mean "mentioned" - I suspect you just started playing with a new graphics tech and couldn't help yourself! :D Looks great, incidentally. Looking forward to getting a chance to play on the new Uber :) overdhose - I don't think we have any blur settings, pretty sure...

    Archived Trees are hollow !

That looks great, just lacks textures and you have a nice world - with reflective water no less! You should talk to begla about seeing if we can put that to work in Terasology :D Bigger fancier trees? You clearly have the skill. Just by showing your work done in that screenie you're ahead of...
